Halmahera Timur, October 3, 2024 – The BPS-Statistics Halmahera Timur Regency has completed the data collection for the National Social and Economic Survey (SUSENAS) Social Culture and Education Module (MSBP) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (SERUTI) for the third quarter of 2024. The data collection took place from September 20 to 30, 2024, following a data update process conducted from September 11 to 15, 2024.

The SUSENAS MSBP data collection aims to obtain information regarding the social, cultural, educational, and economic conditions of the community, which will serve as a basis for planning and evaluating policies across various sectors. Meanwhile, SERUTI is a survey designed to collect data related to Household Consumption Expenditure (PKRT), an essential component in calculating the Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB). The data from this survey is crucial for analyzing the fluctuations and patterns of household consumption on a quarterly basis.

The Head of BPS-Statistics Halmahera Timur, during the monthly evaluation meeting, stated that the data collection process ran smoothly thanks to the hard work of the officers who persevered in obtaining respondents and the intensive field supervision. Supervisors accompanied the enumerators and provided solutions during the data collection of sample households, as well as evaluating the enumerators’ performance to avoid potential errors. "This supervision is very helpful in resolving various issues faced by the officers in the field, ensuring that the quality of the collected data remains intact," he said.

With the completion of this data collection, it is hoped that the survey results can be promptly processed and utilized for more targeted policy planning, especially in the fields of social, cultural, educational, and economic development in Halmahera Timur Regency.
