Village Potential Statistics of Halmahera Timur Regency, 2024

BPS-Statistics of Halmahera Timur Regency conducted the 2024 Village Potential Survey (Podes) in May 2024 through a census covering all subdistricts and the lowest administrative areas equivalent to villages. The administrative areas covered in Podes 2024 include 104 villages spread across 10 subdistricts.The results of the 2024 Podes survey show that the majority of villages in East Halmahera Regency, totaling 92 villages, have residents predominantly working in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors. Additionally, 7 villages have most of their residents employed in the mining and quarrying sector, and 4 villages primarily involved in the manufacturing industry. In the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors, the plantation sub-sector is the most dominant, involving 68 villages. Furthermore, 10 villages are engaged in horticultural crops, while 9 villages focus on food crops.
