National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) Activities, August 2024

BPS-Statistics Halmahera Timur Regency is conducting the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in August 2024. This activity will take place from July 25th to August 31st, 2024, beginning with the updating of census block contents, followed by the enumeration of sample households. The updating process will be carried out from July 25th to August 7th, 2024. After the updating is completed, the enumeration of the selected sample households will follow. The sample size for the August 2024 Sakernas in Halmahera Timur Regency includes 44 Census Blocks (BS) or 438 households, spread across 10 districts in the regency.

Since 2024, Sakernas has utilized the CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) method through the FASIH application. This marks a shift from previous years, which used the PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interviewing) method. The August 2024 Sakernas aims to obtain estimates of the number of employed individuals, the number of unemployed individuals, and other labor market indicators, as well as their trends, which are representative at the national, provincial, and regency/city levels.
